My Story

Since I was young, I have always had a strong sense of justice and care for others. I could never make sense of, or stay quiet about, the inequities I saw around me - and I'm proud to say that really hasn't changed.

I knew at age 16, sitting in a terrible, shame-based heteronormative sex ed class, that kids like me (queer, non-binary, non-monogamous, neurodivergent, in chronic pain) deserved better... even if it took me a few years to understand my identity and why I felt so strongly. At the time, all I knew was that all of us deserved an education that was safe, relevant, and did more than scare us. So I grew up and began working as a peer sexual health and harm reduction educator, travelling across the province to deliver inclusive workshops.

Since then, I have completed a BA in Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies with minors in Health Sciences and Education (Curriculum Development and Instruction). I've taken Options for Sexual Health's Sexual Health Education Certification and Cornerstone's Full Spectrum Birthwork Training. Recently, I've started my MSc in Health Sciences, looking at how disabled queer and trans youth support each other through networks of care in the absence of adequate healthcare.

I've had the privilege of developing and running queer and trans youth programming for the past several years and am now excited to offer services and workshops based on my extensive lived, professional, and academic experience.

'No Shame Education'

The Story Behind the Name

Shame stops us from learning, from getting help, from accessing care.

It stops us from speaking up, experiencing pleasure, and being ourselves.

I aim to create environments where we can move beyond shame in order to learn, grow, and build better relationships with ourselves and each other.
